For the contest on Envys blog - Bugs

Hey, y'all, This card is for the Bug challenge over on Envys' Going Buggy blog.
Envys said Butterflies would qualify as bugs for the purpose of her contest. So I used these that were sent to me several months back in a swap. They are all so pretty, and have differing sizes. But this is the first time I've used them.

I have also been playing with some of Tim's Grundge board, Using several different mediums, just to see how it turned out. I used Distress Inks (of course), both ink pads and refill bottles. Each application goes on differently. I also used some Glimmer Mist, and wasn't real happy with how that turned out. I think the grundge board soaks up too much of it. But the prettiest by far was the new DecoArt Glamour Dust Glitter Paint that I won a couple of weeks back while playing along on Emma and Nikki's blog hop. I won two colors, Tiger Orange and Lemon Drop. This stuff is very thin and leave's a great shimmer. I've put it on paper, card stock, foam, and the Grundge board one inch squares. It all looks great and takes on a different look depending on the surface and the number of layers.
On my card, there's only 2 layers of it brushed on. The first layer went on very thin. So I put on a second coat. If you want a clear color, you need to apply it to a white surface. But it will leave a very thin layer of color and a lovely glimmer no matter what color you apply it to. I really like this stuff. But let me tell you... I got it all over the place! lol I had yellow glimmer on my fingernails for three days! Of course that's half the fun of it isn't it?
So here's the card! The sentiment on the lower left says "A hug is worth a thousand words. A friend is worth more." It's one I've had in my stash for at least a couple of years.I think it came from a dollar store. The little spots are like rain drops. I've left off the ribbon and flowers so that I could use it for a man or a woman. I could just add a little something extra to make it really girly. Or not!
